युक्ताभरणवेषस्य कौन्तेयस्य महात्मनः ॥
रूपम् आसीन् महाराज द्विषतां शोकवर्धनम् ॥
पाण्डरैश् चन्द्ररश्म्याभैर् हेमदण्डैश् च चामरैः ॥
दोधूयमानः शुशुभे विद्युद्भिर् इव तोयदः ॥
संस्तूयमानः सूतैश् च वन्द्यमानश् च बन्दिभिः ॥
उपगीयमानो गन्धर्वैर् आस्ते स्म कुरुनन्दनः ॥

yuktābharaṇaveṣasya kaunteyasya mahātmanaḥ ||
rūpam āsīn mahārāja dviṣatāṃ śokavardhanam ||
pāṇḍaraiś candraraśmyābhair hemadaṇḍaiś ca cāmaraiḥ ||
dodhūyamānaḥ śuśubhe vidyudbhir iva toyadaḥ ||
saṃstūyamānaḥ sūtaiś ca vandyamānaś ca bandibhiḥ ||
upagīyamāno gandharvair āste sma kurunandanaḥ ||

Translation

In fitting ornaments and attire, the form of the great-souled son of Kunti was, O great king, one that increased the grief of his enemies. Fanned by white chamaras like moon-rays with golden handles, he shone like a cloud with lightning. Extolled by sutas, glorified by bards, sung by gandharvas, sat the delight of the Kurus.
