विकोशान् सुत्सरून् न्ये कृधारान् माहितान्
पीतान् कासंकाशान् सीन् के चिच् चिक्षिपुः
न्तस् त्व् सिमार्गांश् नुर्मार्गांश् शिक्षया
संग्रासः शूरा दृश्यन्ते स्म स्रशः

carantas tv asirgāṃś ca dhanurmārgāṃś ca śikṣa ||

Translation

Some brandished bared swords -- well-hilted, with edges honed, composed, gleaming yellow like the sky. And heroes whose thoughts were on battle, drilling in the moves of sword and bow, were seen by the thousands.
