ततः शङ्खम् उपाध्माय त्वरयन् वाजिनः स्वयम् ॥
इतस् ततस् तान् रचयन् द्रोणश् चरति वेगितः ॥
तेष्व् अनीकेषु सर्वेषु स्थितेष्व् आहवनन्दिषु ॥
भारद्वाजो महाराज जयद्रथम् अथाब्रवीत् ॥

tataḥ śaṅkham upādhmāya tvarayan vājinaḥ svayam ||
itas tatas tān racayan droṇaś carati vegitaḥ ||
teṣv anīkeṣu sarveṣu sthiteṣv āhavanandiṣu ||
bhāradvājo mahārāja jayadratham athābravīt ||

Translation

Then, having blown the conch, urging on the horses himself, arranging them here and there, Drona moves swiftly. When all those troops, rejoicing in battle, had taken their stand, the son of Bharadvaja, O great king, then said to Jayadratha.
