Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam

The Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (Bhāgavata-purāṇa) — twelve cantos that Vyāsa composed last, after the Vedānta-sūtra and the Mahābhārata. It opens with the sages asking what is the highest good for a person of this quarrelsome age, and answers not with a code of rules but with a narrative: the making of the world, the lineages and their stories, the descents of the Lord and, in the tenth canto, the life of Kṛṣṇa. Devanāgarī and IAST, word-by-word, a literary translation and a commentary on every verse.
