Here the blessing outlines the dharma of the householder woman. It is significant that a wife's happiness is bound to service: honoring guests, elders, the righteous -- this is her true adornment. The prosperity of a household rests on hospitality and reverence for the worthy. Thus the scripture shows the image of the virtuous housewife, and Kunti wishes her daughter-in-law long years spent in the service of dharma.
