Here the pilgrim meets a king who is a knower of dharma. It is significant that Chitravahana is called "knower of dharma": good draws good, and the meeting of two righteous men foretells a good deed. The worthy meets the worthy. Thus scripture shows Arjuna's meeting with a righteous king; and from it a union in accordance with dharma will follow.
