नैतच् चित्रं महाबाहो त्वयि देवकिनन्दन ॥
भीमार्जुनबलोपेते धर्मस्य परिपालनम् ॥
जरासंधह्रदे घोरे दुःखपङ्के निमज्जताम् ॥
राज्ञां समभ्युद्धरणं यद् इदं कृतम् अद्य ते ॥
विष्णो समवसन्नानां गिरिदुर्गे सुदारुणे ॥
दिष्ट्या मोक्षाद् यशो दीप्तम् आप्तं ते पुरुषोत्तम ॥

naitac citraṃ mahābāho tvayi devakinandana ||
bhīmārjunabalopete dharmasya paripālanam ||
jarāsaṃdhahrade ghore duḥkhapaṅke nimajjatām ||
rājñāṃ samabhyuddharaṇaṃ yad idaṃ kṛtam adya te ||
viṣṇo samavasannānāṃ giridurge sudāruṇe ||
diṣṭyā mokṣād yaśo dīptam āptaṃ te puruṣottama ||

यद् इदं कृतम् अद्य तेyad idaṃ kṛtam adya tethis that you have accomplished today;
विष्णो समवसन्नानांviṣṇo samavasannānāṃO Vishnu, [us,] who languished
गिरि-दुर्गे सु-दारुणेgiri-durge su-dāruṇein the most terrible mountain fortress,
दिष्ट्या मोक्षाद् यशो दीप्तम्diṣṭyā mokṣād yaśo dīptamby good fortune, through deliverance -- bright glory
आप्तं ते पुरुष-उत्तमāptaṃ te puruṣa-uttamahas been attained by you, O Purushottama."

"This is no wonder, O mighty-armed one, O son of Devaki, that in you, endowed with the strength of Bhima and Arjuna, dwells the guarding of dharma. What you have accomplished today is the deliverance of kings who were sinking in the dreadful lake of Jarasandha, in the mire of sorrow. O Vishnu, you have freed us who languished in that most terrible mountain fortress; by good fortune bright glory has been attained by you, O Purushottama."
