तस्मिन् मया हते क्षिप्रम् अर्जुनं बहवो रथाः ॥
तुल्यरूपा विशिष्टाश् च क्षेप्स्यन्ति भरतर्षभ ॥
भीष्मो द्रोणः कृपो द्रौणिः कर्णो भूरिश्रवास् तथा ॥
प्राग्ज्योतिषाधिपः शल्यः सिन्धुराजो जयद्रथः ॥
एकैक एषां शक्तस् तु हन्तुं भारत पाण्डवान् ॥
समस्तास् तु क्षणेनैतान् नेष्यन्ति यमसादनम् ॥
समग्रा पार्थिवी सेना पार्थम् एकं धनंजयम् ॥
कस्माद् अशक्ता निर्जेतुम् इति हेतुर् न विद्यते ॥
शरव्रातैस् तु भीष्मेण शतशो ऽथ सहस्रशः ॥
द्रोणद्रौणिकृपैश् चैव गन्ता पार्थो यमक्षयम् ॥

tasmin mayā hate kṣipram arjunaṃ bahavo rathāḥ ||
tulyarūpā viśiṣṭāś ca kṣepsyanti bharatarṣabha ||
bhīṣmo droṇaḥ kṛpo drauṇiḥ karṇo bhūriśravās tathā ||
prāgjyotiṣādhipaḥ śalyaḥ sindhurājo jayadrathaḥ ||
ekaika eṣāṃ śaktas tu hantuṃ bhārata pāṇḍavān ||
samastās tu kṣaṇenaitān neṣyanti yamasādanam ||
samagrā pārthivī senā pārtham ekaṃ dhanaṃjayam ||
kasmād aśaktā nirjetum iti hetur na vidyate ||
śaravrātais tu bhīṣmeṇa śataśo 'tha sahasraśaḥ ||
droṇadrauṇikṛpaiś caiva gantā pārtho yamakṣayam ||

Traducción

The Matsyas, the Panchalas, the Salvas, and the Surasenas — all of them now refuse to honor you and disregard you entirely. Having come to know the vigor of this wise king, all of them, however, joined this son of Pritha, and out of their devotion to him always oppose your sons.
