वं रम् हं श्रुत्वा त्यास् ये दा
मोघम् स्त्रम् दं वैष्णवं तद् हं पुरा
वोचं चैतद् स्त्रं वै ह्य् मोघं तु क्षमे
स्याभिक्षार्थं नैनं कश् चिद् धिष्यति
नेनास्त्रे ते गुप्तः सुतः लार्दनः
विष्यति दुरार्षः र्वलोकेषु र्वदा

evaṃ varam ahaṃ śrutvā jagatyās tanaye ta ||
amogham astram adadaṃ vaiṣṇavaṃ tad ahaṃ pu ||
avocaṃ caitad astraṃ vai hy amoghaṃ bhavatu kṣame ||
narakasyābhirakṣārthaṃ nainaṃ kaś cid vadhiṣyati ||
anestreṇa te guptaḥ sutaḥ parabardanaḥ ||
bhaviṣyati dudharṣaḥ sarvalokeṣu sarva ||

Traducción

So, having heard the request for a boon, I then granted to Earth's son the unfailing weapon of Vishnu. And I said long ago: 'Let this weapon be unfailing on earth, for the protection of Naraka; let no one slay him. Guarded by this weapon, your son, crusher of enemy forces, shall become unconquerable in all the worlds, forever.'
