ततो द्रोणं शिनेः पौत्रो ग्रसन्तम् इव सृञ्जयान् ॥
प्रत्यविध्यच् छितैर् बाणैः षड्विंशत्या स्तनान्तरे ॥
ततः सर्वे रथास् तूर्णं पाञ्चाला जयगृद्धिनः ॥
सात्वताभिसृते द्रोणे धृष्टद्युम्नम् अमोचयन् ॥

tato droṇaṃ śineḥ pautro grasantam iva sṛñjayān ||
pratyavidhyac chitair bāṇaiḥ ṣaḍviṃśatyā stanāntare ||
tataḥ sarve rathās tūrṇaṃ pāñcālā jayagṛddhinaḥ ||
sātvatābhisṛte droṇe dhṛṣṭadyumnam amocayan ||

Traducción

Then Shini's grandson, in return, pierced Drona — who was as though devouring the Srinjayas — with sharp arrows, twenty-six in the chest. Then, while Drona rushed at the Satvata, all the Panchala charioteers, craving victory, led Dhrishtadyumna away to safety.
