तश् चित्राणि शुभ्राणि सुहान्ति हाथाः
कार्मुकाण्य् दुस् तूर्णम् र्जुनार्थे रंपाः
थै नुर् च्छत् पार्थः त्रुविनानः
गाण्डीवं दिव्यर्मा तद् राजन् दुर्मन्त्रिते
वाराधाद् धि रा निता हुधा युधि
नानादिग्भ्यः माहूताः याः द्विपाः
तेषाम् सीद् व्यतिक्षेपो र्जताम् रेरम्
दुर्योमुखानां पाण्डूनाम् स्य

tataś citrāṇi śubhrāṇi sumanti marathāḥ ||
rmuṇy ādadus tūrṇam arjurthe paraṃtapāḥ ||
tathaiva dhanur āyacchat pārthaḥ śatruviśanaḥ ||
ṇḍīvaṃ divyakarmā tad rājan durmantrite tava ||
tapadhād dhi na niha bahudhā yudhi ||
digbhyaḥ satāḥ sahayāḥ sarathadvipāḥ ||
teṣām ād vyatikṣepo garjam itaretaram ||
duryodhanamukhānāṃ ca ṇḍūm ṛṣabhasya ca ||

सहयाः सरथद्विपाःsahayāḥ sarathadvipāḥwith horses, chariots and elephants; together with horses, chariots and elephants
तेषाम् आसीत् व्यतिक्षेपःteṣām āsīt vyatikṣepaḥthere was a clash among them; there was a skirmish between them
गर्जताम् इतरेतरम्garjatām itaretaramroaring at one another; bellowing at each other

Traducción

Then the great warriors, chastisers of enemies, swiftly seized their many-colored, bright, exceedingly great bows against Arjuna; and Partha likewise drew his bow, Gandiva — the exterminator of enemies, performer of wondrous deeds — O king, by your evil counsel. For it is by your fault that men were slain in great numbers in battle — summoned from every quarter, with horses, chariots, and elephants. There was a clash between them, roaring at one another — between those led by Duryodhana and the bull [among] the Pandavas.
