Traducción

"Ahead is the army of the Sindhu king, behind Drona's array; for by its multitude, O tiger among men, it would press hard even the king of the gods. One mired in that boundless host might well lose his life; and if he is slain in battle, how could one like me go on living? The dark-hued, youthful Gudakesha [Arjuna], comely son of Pandu, nimble with weapons and striking in manifold ways, entered, O honored one, the host of the Bharatas at sunrise, mighty-armed as he is — and now the day is already waning; and I do not know, O Varshneya, whether he lives or not. Utterly alone, Bibhatsu entered, O honored one, the host of the Bharatas, unassailable even by the gods in that great slaughter. And my mind holds to nothing now in this battle — for Drona, impetuous in battle, presses hard upon my army."
