तयोः शरैर् महाराज संपतद्भिः समन्ततः ॥
बभूव तव सैन्यानां संक्षोभः सागरोपमः ॥
भीमचापच्युतैर् बाणैस् तव सैन्यम् अरिंदम ॥
अवध्यत चमूमध्ये घोरैर् आशीविषोपमैः ॥
वारणैः पतितै राजन् वाजिभिश् च नरैः सह ॥
अदृश्यत मही कीर्णा वातनुन्नैर् द्रुमैर् इव ॥

babhūva tava sainyānāṃ saṃkṣobhaḥ sāgaropamaḥ ||
bhīmacāpacyutair bāṇais tava sainyam ariṃdama ||
avadhyata camūmadhye ghorair āśīviṣopamaiḥ ||
vāraṇaiḥ patitai rājan vājibhiś ca naraiḥ saha ||
adṛśyata mahī kīrṇā vātanunnair drumair iva ||

Traducción

By the arrows of those two, O great king, flying in from every side, there arose among your armies a turmoil like the ocean. By arrows loosed from Bhima's bow, terrible, like venomous vipers, your army, O tamer of foes, was being destroyed in the midst of the host. With fallen elephants, O king, and with horses, together with men, the earth appeared strewn, as if by trees felled by the wind.
