अन्वागतं वृष्णिवरं समीक्ष्य; तथारिमध्ये परिवर्तमानम् ॥
घ्नन्तं कुरूणाम् इषुभिर् बलानि; पुनः पुनर् वायुर् इवाभ्रपूगान् ॥
ततो ऽवहन् सैन्धवाः साधु दान्ता; गोक्षीरकुन्देन्दुहिमप्रकाशाः ॥
सुवर्णजालावतताः सदश्वा; यतो यतः कामयते नृसिंहः ॥
anvāgataṃ vṛṣṇivaraṃ samīkṣya; tathārimadhye parivartamānam ||
ghnantaṃ kurūṇām iṣubhir balāni; punaḥ punar vāyur ivābhrapūgān ||
tato 'vahan saindhavāḥ sādhu dāntā; gokṣīrakundenduhimaprakāśāḥ ||
suvarṇajālāvatatāḥ sadaśvā; yato yataḥ kāmayate nṛsiṃhaḥ ||
Having seen the best of the Vrishnis [Satyaki] approaching, thus wheeling amid the enemy, slaying the armies of the Kurus with arrows again and again, like the wind scattering banks of clouds — then the Sindhu horses, excellently trained, shining like cow's milk, jasmine, the moon, and frost, covered with a net of gold, fine horses, carried him wherever the man-lion wished.

Satyaki scatters the Kuru ranks as the wind scatters banks of clouds: a single will dispersing multitudes. It is telling that the horses bear him "wherever he wishes": the harmony of horse and rider is an image of strength and will made one. The verse teaches that unstoppable is the one in whom will and means are fused; and a hero wheeling among enemies like an elemental force overcomes numbers only because wholeness of spirit governs his might.
