पि मेरुं हेत् कश् चित् रेद् वा रायम्
तु वृष्णिप्रवीराणां मेत्यान्तं व्रजेन् नृ
तत् ते र्वम् ख्यातं त्र ते संयो विभो
कुरुरा श्रेष्ठ व ह्य् यो हान्

api meruṃ vahet kaś cit tared vā makalayam ||
na tu vṛṣṇipraṇāṃ sametyāntaṃ vrajen nṛpa ||
etat te sarvam ākhyātaṃ yatra te saṃśayo vibho ||
kuruja naraśreṣṭha tava hy apanayo mahān ||

Traducción

"One might even carry Meru, or cross the abode of the makaras [the ocean], but having met the heroes of the Vrishnis in battle, one would not come to their end, o king. All this has been told to you, in answer to what you doubted, o lord. O king of the Kurus, best of men — for indeed your wrongdoing is great."
