युक्तं निभैर् वाहैः पिशानैः रैः
सूतम् ब्रवीत् क्रुद्धः सूपुत्रा मा
यौ घोरूपे थे थिनां रः
द्वैथं सूपुत्रे पुनर् विशां ते
चिक्षे पुनः क्रुद्धः सूपुत्रा राक्षसः
ष्टक्रां हाघोराम् निं रुद्रनिर्मिताम्
ताम् प्लुत्य ग्रा र्णो न्यस्य थे नुः
चिक्षे चैनां स्यै स्यन्दनात् सो ऽपुप्लुवे

yuktaṃ gajanibhair vāhaiḥ piśācavadanaiḥ kharaiḥ ||
sa tam abrat kruddhaḥ taputrāya vaha ||
sa yayau ghorapeṇa rathena rathināṃ varaḥ ||
dvairathaṃ taputreṇa punar eva viśāṃ pate ||
sa cikṣepa punaḥ kruddhaḥ taputrāya kṣasaḥ ||
aṣṭacakrāṃ maghom aśaniṃ rudranirmitām ||
m avaplutya jagrāha karṇo nyasya rathe dhanuḥ ||
cikṣepa caināṃ tasyaiva syandat so 'vapupluve ||

Traducción

...and mounting the chariot again, again wrought by magic, yoked with elephant-like horses, donkeys with the faces of pishachas, he spoke to the charioteer, enraged: 'Drive me to the son of the suta.' He advanced on the fearsome-looking chariot, best of warriors, to a duel of two chariots with the son of the suta once more, O lord of peoples. He hurled again, enraged, at the son of the suta, the rakshasa, an eight-wheeled, most terrible thunderbolt, wrought by Rudra. Leaping down, Karna caught it, laying his bow down on the chariot.
