त्वगध्यात्मं स्पर्शयितव्यमधिभूतं वायुस्तत्राधिदैवतं नाडी तेषां निबन्धनं यस्त्वचि यः स्पर्शयितव्ये यो वायौ यो नाड्यां यः प्राणे यो विज्ञाने य आनन्दे यो हृद्याकाशे य एतस्मिन्सर्वस्मिन्नन्तरे संचरति सोऽयमात्मा तमात्मानमुपासीताजरममृतमभयमशोकमनन्तम्
tvagadhyātmaṃ sparśayitavyamadhibhūtaṃ vāyustatrādhidaivataṃ nāḍī teṣāṃ nibandhanaṃ yastvaci yaḥ sparśayitavye yo vāyau yo nāḍyāṃ yaḥ prāṇe yo vijñāne ya ānande yo hṛdyākāśe ya etasminsarvasminnantare saṃcarati so'yamātmā tamātmānamupāsītājaramamṛtamabhayamaśokamanantam
The skin — on the side of oneself, the touched — on the side of beings, and the wind — on the side of deities; the channel — their bond. Who is in the skin, in the touched, in the wind, in the channel, in the breath, in knowledge, in bliss, in the space of the heart, who moves within all this — He is this very Self. Him let one revere — the unageing, immortal, fearless, sorrowless, endless.

The fifth triad: the skin, the touched, and the wind.
To the wind in the śāstras answers touch, and this correspondence too can be tested: the wind is the one thing we know exclusively by feel. It cannot be seen, cannot be heard (heard is only what it sets swaying), it has neither taste nor smell — but its touch everyone knows.
Touch in general stands apart in the row of the senses. Eye, ear, nose and tongue are each housed in their own place; the skin is over the whole body. Hence it is said that touch is the widest of the senses and the most unrelenting: one can shut one's eyes, but one cannot stop feeling.
By this all-embracingness the skin comes nearest of all to what the whole khaṇḍa is about: to Him who “moves within all this”. Not because touch is higher than the rest, but because on it it is easiest to notice: a sense is not housed in a point, it is diffused.
With five triads the senses of perception are finished. Next come the inner instruments — mind, reason, selfhood, consciousness.
