अथ हैनं रैक्वः पप्रच्छ भगवन्कस्मिन्सर्वे संप्रतिष्ठिता भवन्तीति रसातललोकेष्विति होवाच कस्मिन्रसातललोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति भूर्लोकेष्विति होवाच । कस्मिन्भूर्लोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति भुवर्लोकेष्विति होवाच । कस्मिन्भुवर्लोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति सुवर्लोकेष्विति होवाच । कस्मिन्सुवर्लोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति महर्लोकेष्विति होवाच । कस्मिन्महर्लोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति जनोलोकेष्विति होवाच । कस्मिन् जनोलोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति तपोलोकेष्विति होवाच । कस्मिंस्तपोलोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति सत्यलोकेष्विति होवाच । कस्मिन्सत्यलोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति प्रजापतिलोकेष्विति होवाच । कस्मिन्प्रजापतिलोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति ब्रह्मलोकेष्विति होवाच । कस्मिन्ब्रह्मलोका ओताश्च प्रोताश्चेति सर्वलोका आत्मनि ब्रह्मणि मणय इवौताश्च प्रोताश्चेति स होवाच

कस्मिन् रसातललोकाःkasmin rasātalalokāḥ“and the nether worlds — in what”; “and the lower worlds — on what”
ओताः च प्रोताः च इतिotāḥ ca protāḥ ca iti“are they woven, warp and woof?”; “are they threaded through and through?”
भूर्लोकेषु इति ह उवाचbhūrlokeṣu iti ha uvāca“in the earthly worlds,” he said; “in the bhūr-lokas,” he spoke
कस्मिन् भूर्लोकाःkasmin bhūrlokāḥ“and the earthly worlds — in what”; “and the bhūr-lokas — on what”
भुवर्लोकेषु इति ह उवाचbhuvarlokeṣu iti ha uvāca“in the airy worlds,” he said; “in the bhuvar-lokas,” he spoke
कस्मिन् भुवर्लोकाःkasmin bhuvarlokāḥ“and the airy worlds — in what”; “and the bhuvar-lokas — on what”
सुवर्लोकेषु इति ह उवाचsuvarlokeṣu iti ha uvāca“in the heavenly worlds,” he said; “in the svar-lokas,” he spoke
कस्मिन् सुवर्लोकाःkasmin suvarlokāḥ“and the heavenly worlds — in what”; “and the svar-lokas — on what”
महर्लोकेषु इति ह उवाचmaharlokeṣu iti ha uvāca“in the mahar-lokas,” he said; “in the great worlds,” he spoke
कस्मिन् महर्लोकाःkasmin maharlokāḥ“and the mahar-lokas — in what”; “and the great worlds — on what”
जनोलोकेषु इति ह उवाचjanolokeṣu iti ha uvāca“in the jano-lokas,” he said; “in the worlds of birth,” he spoke
कस्मिन् जनोलोकाःkasmin janolokāḥ“and the jano-lokas — in what”; “and the worlds of birth — on what”
तपोलोकेषु इति ह उवाचtapolokeṣu iti ha uvāca“in the tapo-lokas,” he said; “in the worlds of austerity,” he spoke
कस्मिन् तपोलोकाःkasmin tapolokāḥ“and the tapo-lokas — in what”; “and the worlds of austerity — on what”
सत्यलोकेषु इति ह उवाचsatyalokeṣu iti ha uvāca“in the worlds of truth,” he said; “in the satya-lokas,” he spoke
कस्मिन् सत्यलोकाःkasmin satyalokāḥ“and the worlds of truth — in what”; “and the satya-lokas — on what”
प्रजापतिलोकेषु इति ह उवाचprajāpatilokeṣu iti ha uvāca“in the worlds of Prajāpati,” he said; “in the lokas of the lord of creatures,” he spoke
कस्मिन् प्रजापतिलोकाःkasmin prajāpatilokāḥ“and the worlds of Prajāpati — in what”; “and the lokas of Prajāpati — on what”
ब्रह्मलोकेषु इति ह उवाचbrahmalokeṣu iti ha uvāca“in the worlds of Brahmā,” he said; “in the brahma-lokas,” he spoke
कस्मिन् ब्रह्मलोकाःkasmin brahmalokāḥ“and the worlds of Brahmā — in what”; “and the brahma-lokas — on what”

And now Raikva asked him: “Master, in what is everything established?” — “In the nether worlds,” he said. — “And the nether worlds — in what are they woven, warp and woof?” — “In the earthly worlds.” — “And the earthly?” — “In the airy worlds.” — “And the airy?” — “In the heavenly worlds.” — “And the heavenly?” — “In the mahar-lokas.” — “And those?” — “In the jano-lokas.” — “And those?” — “In the tapo-lokas.” — “And those?” — “In the worlds of truth.” — “And those?” — “In the worlds of Prajāpati.” — “And those?” — “In the worlds of Brahmā.” — “And the worlds of Brahmā — in what are they woven, warp and woof?” — “All the worlds are woven, warp and woof, in the Self, in Brahman, like beads,” — so he said.
