Here is a word that has not appeared once in this book and deserves note: Achyuta. This is a name of Vishnu and means "not falling, unfallen, unshaken"; from chyu, "to fall, to lapse," with a negation. And it is named here at the most decisive place: the one who gives the meeting and gives the scripture is named Achyuta.
This deserves dwelling on, for the second chapter is part of a yogic, Shaivite composition, and until now Shiva and the teacher have stood in it. But upon reaching the question of who gives, the book names His name. Let us compare this with what has been noted more than once in earlier books: in Tripuratapini (1, 19, 30, 32, 56), in Rudra-hridaya (13), in Bhavana. Every time the discourse turns to the giver, this name appears.
Worth noting too is the very meaning of the name. Achyuta is "the unfallen" — one who does not abandon and does not drop. The name is chosen for reliability; and the giver of the meeting is called by a name meaning the one who will not fail.
The Vaishnava side asks no greater testimony, and it is worth noting that this one was not given by her. A book about the cutting of the tongue's frenum, reaching the question "who then gives?", answered with the name of the One who does not falter.
