हीयमानं तु तद् रक्षः समीक्ष्य भरतर्षभ ॥
निष्पिष्य भूमौ पाणिभ्यां समाजघ्ने वृकोदरः ॥
ततो ऽस्य जानुना पृष्ठम् अवपीड्य बलाद् इव ॥
बाहुना परिजग्राह दक्षिणेन शिरोधराम् ॥
सव्येन च कटीदेशे गृह्य वाससि पाण्डवः ॥
तद् रक्षो द्विगुणं चक्रे नदन्तं भैरवान् रवान् ॥

tad rakṣo dviguṇaṃ cakre nadantaṃ bhairavān ravān ||

निष्पिष्य भूमौ पाणिभ्यां समाजघ्ने वृकोदरःniṣpiṣya bhūmau pāṇibhyāṃ samājaghne vṛkodaraḥpressing him down to the ground with his hands, Vrikodara began to strike him;
ततः अस्य जानुना पृष्ठम् अवपीड्य बलात् इवtataḥ asya jānunā pṛṣṭham avapīḍya balāt ivathen, pressing down his back with his knee as if by force,

अनुवाद

"Seeing that the rakshasa was weakening, O bull of the Bharatas, Vrikodara pressed him to the ground with his hands and began to strike him. Then, pressing his back down hard with his knee, he seized him by the neck with his right arm, and with his left, seizing him by the garment at his waist, the Pandava bent the rakshasa double, as he let out terrifying roars."
