तस्मात् त्वम् अपि भद्रं ते न लोकान् हन्तुम् अर्हसि ॥
पराशर परान् धर्माञ् जानञ् ज्ञानवतां वर ॥

Here the tale turns into direct instruction to the grandson. It is telling that Vasishtha, having recounted the story of Aurva, draws the lesson: even righteous anger must not destroy the worlds; one who knows dharma should restrain his fury. In this lies the purpose of the whole narrative: the taming of anger through knowledge; whoever knows the highest dharma does not let grief turn into universal destruction. Thus the scripture shows that the account of the ancestors serves to instruct the descendant; and Vasishtha, by Aurva's example, turns Parashara away from destroying the worlds.
