महत्य् अथापराह्णे तु घनैः सूर्य इवावृतः ॥
ब्राह्मणैः प्राविशत् तत्र जिष्णुर् ब्रह्मपुरस्कृतः ॥

Here a mother's anxiety is resolved by the arrival of her son. The comparison is telling: Arjuna enters "like the sun among clouds" — surrounded by brahmins, hidden among them, yet radiant. Here one sees that hidden light does not go out: the hero, concealed within a crowd of brahmins, still shines forth. It is telling that he "places the brahmins before him" — reverence for them even in the hour of triumph. Thus the scripture reveals the long-awaited return; and Arjuna, entering, brings his mother news she does not yet know.
