वैशंपायन उवाच
ततः प्रयाताः कुरुपुंगवास् ते; पुरोहितं तं प्रथमं प्रयाप्य ॥
आस्थाय यानानि महान्ति तानि; कुन्ती च कृष्णा च सहैव याते ॥

Here too, in setting out, proper order is observed. It is telling that the purohita is sent ahead: the brahmin priest goes before the way as a blessing upon it. Here is reverence for the holy preceptor who opens the road. So the scripture shows a pious order of procession, and the Pandavas move toward Drupada led by a holy man.
