वैशंपायन उवाच
एवं स्तुतस् ततस् तेन मन्दपालेन पावकः ॥
तुतोष तस्य नृपते मुनेर् अमिततेजसः ॥
उवाच चैनं प्रीतात्मा किम् इष्टं करवाणि ते ॥

Here sincere praise opens the door to divine grace. It is significant that Agni, pleased by the hymn, himself offers a gift: praise that comes from the heart inclines the deity toward favor. Here lies a truth: stuti [praise] is a path to the Lord's grace. Thus the scripture reveals Agni's favor; and Mandapala will ask for the salvation of his sons.
