वैशंपायन उवाच
ततस् ते सर्व एवैनं पुत्राः सम्यग् उपासिरे ॥
स च तान् आत्मजान् राजन्न् आश्वासयितुम् आरभत् ॥

Here the quarrel is resolved in reconciliation. It is telling that after such bitter words the sons still honor their father, and he in turn sets about consoling them: family love proves stronger than offense. In this lies a lesson: forgiveness restores the harmony that was torn. So the scripture reveals the reunion of Mandapala's family; and with this the tale of the Sharngakas comes to its close.
