तथा ब्रुवाणं धर्मात्मा प्राह राजा युधिष्ठिरः ॥
तव धैर्यं च वीर्यं च पाञ्चालाः पाण्डवैः सह ॥
सर्वे समधिरूढाः स्म संग्रामान् नः समुद्धर ॥
जानामि त्वां महाबाहो क्षत्रधर्मे व्यवस्थितम् ॥
समर्थम् एकं पर्याप्तं कौरवाणां युयुत्सताम् ॥
भवता यद् विधातव्यं तन् नः श्रेयः परंतप ॥
संग्रामाद् अपयातानां भग्नानां शरणैषिणाम् ॥
पौरुषं दर्शयञ् शूरो यस् तिष्ठेद् अग्रतः पुमान् ॥
क्रीणीयात् तं सहस्रेण नीतिमन् नाम तत् पदम् ॥
स त्वं शूरश् च वीरश् च विक्रान्तश् च नरर्षभ ॥
भयार्तानां परित्राता संयुगेषु न संशयः ॥
एवं ब्रुवति कौन्तेये धर्मात्मनि युधिष्ठिरे ॥
धृष्टद्युम्न उवाचेदं मां वचो गतसाध्वसः ॥
tathā bruvāṇaṃ dharmātmā prāha rājā yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
tava dhairyaṃ ca vīryaṃ ca pāñcālāḥ pāṇḍavaiḥ saha ||
sarve samadhirūḍhāḥ sma saṃgrāmān naḥ samuddhara ||
jānāmi tvāṃ mahābāho kṣatradharme vyavasthitam ||
samartham ekaṃ paryāptaṃ kauravāṇāṃ yuyutsatām ||
bhavatā yad vidhātavyaṃ tan naḥ śreyaḥ paraṃtapa ||
saṃgrāmād apayātānāṃ bhagnānāṃ śaraṇaiṣiṇām ||
pauruṣaṃ darśayañ śūro yas tiṣṭhed agrataḥ pumān ||
krīṇīyāt taṃ sahasreṇa nītiman nāma tat padam ||
sa tvaṃ śūraś ca vīraś ca vikrāntaś ca nararṣabha ||
bhayārtānāṃ paritrātā saṃyugeṣu na saṃśayaḥ ||
evaṃ bruvati kaunteye dharmātmani yudhiṣṭhire ||
dhṛṣṭadyumna uvācedaṃ māṃ vaco gatasādhvasaḥ ||
And excellent horses of great size, equal in years and strength to the horses of the Pandavas themselves, endowed with great swiftness and handsome appearance, all given by the celestials, carry these young princes, the sons of Subhadra and Draupadi.’
