अनुवाद
And that scion of the Dasharha line, that chief of the Vrishnis, for whom past and future were as the present, knowing that Vidura was beloved of the Pandavas and well disposed toward them, learned, firm in morality, honest, harboring no anger (against the Pandavas), and wise, began to relate to him in detail all that the sons of Pandu had done.

This passage develops the central theme of the Udyoga-parva: the effort toward peace already unfolds against the backdrop of an inevitable war. Key figure: Vidura. Dharma reveals itself here through speech, the choice of an envoy, faithfulness to one's promises, and the responsibility kings bear for the consequences of their decisions.
