इत्य् उक्त्वा शरवर्षेण सर्वतः समवाकिरत् ॥
दम्भोद्भवस् तापसं तं जिघांसुः सहसैनिकः ॥
तस्य तान् अस्यतो घोरान् इषून् परतनुच्छिदः ॥
कदर्थीकृत्य स मुनिर् इषीकाभिर् अपानुदत् ॥
ततो ऽस्मै प्रासृजद् घोरम् ऐषीकम् अपराजितः ॥
अस्त्रम् अप्रतिसंधेयं तद् अद्भुतम् इवाभवत् ॥
तेषाम् अक्षीणि कर्णांश् च नस्तकांश् चैव मायया ॥
निमित्तवेधी स मुनिर् इषीकाभिः समर्पयत् ॥
स दृष्ट्वा श्वेतम् आकाशम् इषीकाभिः समाचितम् ॥
पादयोर् न्यपतद् राजा स्वस्ति मे ऽस्त्व् इति चाब्रवीत् ॥

dambhodbhavas tāpasaṃ taṃ jighāṃsuḥ sahasainikaḥ ||
tasya tān asyato ghorān iṣūn paratanucchidaḥ ||
kadarthīkṛtya sa munir iṣīkābhir apānudat ||
tato 'smai prāsṛjad ghoram aiṣīkam aparājitaḥ ||
astram apratisaṃdheyaṃ tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||
teṣām akṣīṇi karṇāṃś ca nastakāṃś caiva māyayā ||
nimittavedhī sa munir iṣīkābhiḥ samarpayat ||
sa dṛṣṭvā śvetam ākāśam iṣīkābhiḥ samācitam ||
pādayor nyapatad rājā svasti me 'stv iti cābravīt ||
And this renowned hero entered the court, walking hand in hand with Vidura and Satyaki on either side, and outshone the splendor of all the Kurus, as the sun outshines the light of lesser luminaries in the sky. Before Vasudeva sat Karna and Duryodhana, while behind him were the Vrishnis with Kritavarman. And Bhishma, Drona, and the others, together with Dhritarashtra, were ready to rise from their seats to honor Janardana. Indeed, the moment he, the scion of the Dashariha line, arrived, the illustrious blind king, Drona, and Bhishma all rose from their seats. And when this mighty ruler of men, King Dhritarashtra, rose from his seat, thousands of kings around him rose as well. And, by the command of Dhritarashtra, a beautiful seat adorned with gold was set out for Krishna. And, taking his seat, Madhava with a smile greeted the king, Bhishma, Drona, and all the other rulers, each according to his age.
