Shri Bhagavan said: "O son of Pritha, behold My forms by the hundreds and thousands: manifold, divine, of different colors and shapes. Behold the Adityas, the Vasus, the Rudras, the two Ashvins, and the Maruts; behold, O Bharata, the many wonders never seen before. O Gudakesha, today behold in My body the whole universe gathered in one place, with all that moves and does not move, and whatever else you wish to see. But you cannot see Me with these your own eyes. I grant you divine sight; behold My sovereign power."

The universal form is not an object of ordinary sight. It can be seen only as Krishna's gift: spiritual vision here depends directly on His grace, not on the strength of human curiosity.
