अनुवाद

By the Pandavas together with the Panchalas, merciless and fierce in their deeds, [Drona] of the golden chariot was slain, O king, after he had performed a most difficult feat. Then a great outcry of beings and armies arose in the firmament, O king, when the teacher was struck down in battle. Filling the sky, the earth, the firmament, the cardinal directions, the waters, and the intermediate quarters, a great cry of beings arose: 'Alas! Shame!'
