येषां योद्धा गुडाकेशो येषां मन्त्री जनार्दनः ॥
येषां च सात्यकिर् गोप्ता येषां गोप्ता वृकोदरः ॥
को हि तान् विषहेद् योद्धुं मर्त्यधर्मा धनुर्धरः ॥
अन्यत्र कौरवेयेभ्यो ये वा तेषां पदानुगाः ॥

"Those whose warrior is Gudakesha, whose counselor is Janardana, and whose protector is Satyaki, whose protector is Vrikodara — who, a mortal bowman, could withstand them in battle, other than the Kauravas or those who are their followers?"

The source of their invincibility is named precisely: "yeṣāṃ mantrī janārdanaḥ," "whose counselor is Janardana." Where Krishna is counselor, Arjuna the warrior, and Bhima and Satyaki the guardians, there a mortal bowman is powerless. It is telling that what decides is not weaponry, but the presence of the Lord as counselor. The verse teaches that invincible is not strength itself, but the side at which God Himself stands as counselor and guide: no mortal can overcome those whose counselor is the Lord; their wisdom is not their own but God's, and therefore unattainable by those who oppose them.
