धृष्टद्युम्नश् संप्रेक्ष्य द्रोणम् भ्याशम् तम्
सिर्मादे वीरो नुर् त्सृज्य भा
चिकीर्षुर् दुष्करं र्म पार्षतः वीहा
या तिक्रम्य द्रोस्य थम् विशत्
तिष्ठद् युध्ये युसंनेषु
घानार्धेषु चाश्वानां तत् सैन्यान्य् भ्यपूयन्

अनुवाद

And Dhrishtadyumna, seeing Drona come close to him, took up sword and shield, the hero, casting aside his bow, O Bharata. Wishing to accomplish a difficult deed, Parshata, slayer of enemy heroes, having crossed along the pole, entered Drona's chariot. He stood in the middle of the yoke and on the yoke's fastenings, and struck at the sides of the horses -- at that the armies cheered.
