सात्यकिस् तु तः क्रुद्धो नुस् त्यक्त्वा हाथः
दां ग्रा तीं भाद्वाजा चाक्षिपत्
ताम् न्तीं सा ट्टद्धाम् स्मयीम्
न्यवायच् रैर् द्रोणो हुभिर् हुरूपिभिः
थान्यद् नुर् दा सात्यकिः त्यविक्रमः
विव्या हुभिर् वीरं भाद्वाजं शिलाशितैः

ताम् आपतन्तीम् सहसाtām āpatantīm sahasāit, suddenly rushing; it, suddenly flying
पट्टबद्धाम् अयस्मयीम्paṭṭabaddhām ayasmayīmbound with a band, made of iron; bound with a strip, made of iron
न्यवारयत् शरैः द्रोणःnyavārayat śaraiḥ droṇaḥwarded off with arrows, Drona; repelled with arrows, Drona

भारद्वाजम् शिलाशितैःbhāradvājam śilāśitaiḥthe son of Bharadvaja, with [arrows] sharpened on stone; the son of Bharadvaja, with [arrows] whetted on stone
अनुवाद

And Satyaki, enraged, the great warrior, cast away his bow, seized a great mace, and hurled it at the son of Bharadvaja. That mace, rushing suddenly, bound with iron bands, Drona warded off with many arrows of manifold shapes. Then, taking up another bow, Satyaki of true valor struck the hero, the son of Bharadvaja, with many arrows whetted on stone.
