अथाक्रन्दद् भीमसेनो धृष्टद्युम्नश् च मारिष ॥
कुलः देवश् र्मराजश् पाण्डवः
च्छ प्र वत् रिधा
प्रविष्टाव् रिसेनां हि वीरौ मापाण्डवौ
था सुखे च्छेतां द्रधं प्रति
था प्रकुरु क्षिप्रम् ति सैन्यान्य् चोयत्
योर् भावे कुवः कृतार्थाः स्युर् यं जिताः
ते यूयं हिता भूत्वा तूर्णम् लार्णवम्
क्षोध्वं हावेगाः नाः सारं था

yathā sukhena gacchetāṃ jayadrathavadhaṃ prati ||
tathā prakuruta kṣipram iti sainyāny acodayat ||
tayor abhāve kuravaḥ kṛrthāḥ syur vayaṃ jitāḥ ||
te yaṃ sahi bhūtvā rṇam eva barṇavam ||
kṣobhayadhvaṃ mavegāḥ pavanāḥ garaṃ yathā ||

धर्मराजः च पाण्डवःdharmarājaḥ ca pāṇḍavaḥand the King of Righteousness, the Pandava; and the King of Justice, [son] of Pandu
आगच्छत प्रहरतāgacchata praharatacome forward, strike; advance, strike
बलवत् परिधावतbalavat paridhāvatawith force, spread out around; spread out mightily on every side
प्रविष्टौ अरिसेनाम् हिpraviṣṭau arisenām hi[for] they have entered the enemy host; for they have gone into the hostile army
वीरौ माधवपाण्डवौvīrau mādhavapāṇḍavau[the two] heroes, Madhava [and] the Pandava; the two heroes, Madhava and the Pandava
यथा सुखेन गच्छेताम्yathā sukhena gacchetāmso that [the two] may pass easily; so that they two may pass unhindered
जयद्रथवधम् प्रतिjayadrathavadham pratitoward the slaying of Jayadratha; to the slaying of Jayadratha
तथा प्रकुरुत क्षिप्रम्tathā prakuruta kṣipramso act quickly; act thus, and swiftly
इति सैन्यानि अचोदयत्iti sainyāni acodayatthus he urged on the troops; thus were the troops urged on
ते यूयम् सहिताः भूत्वाte yūyam sahitāḥ bhūtvāyou all, having become united; you, having joined together
तूर्णम् एव बलार्णवम्tūrṇam eva balārṇavamswiftly indeed the ocean of the army; the ocean of the army, at once
क्षोभयध्वम् महावेगाःkṣobhayadhvam mahāvegāḥstir up, [you] of great speed; churn it up, you of great swiftness
पवनाः सागरम् यथाpavanāḥ sāgaram yathā[as] winds [stir] the ocean; just as winds stir the ocean
अनुवाद

"Then Bhimasena, and Dhrishtadyumna, O venerable one, Nakula and Sahadeva, and the King of Righteousness, the Pandava, cried out: 'Come forward, strike, spread out mightily around, for the two heroes, Madhava and the Pandava, have entered the enemy host. So that they may pass easily toward the slaying of Jayadratha -- do this quickly!' Thus they urged on the troops. 'Having joined together, swiftly stir up the ocean of the army, you of great swiftness, as winds stir the ocean.'"
