परिश्रान्ता हयाश् चास्य हययन्ता च माधव ॥
न च भूरिश्रवाः श्रान्तः ससहायश् च केशव ॥
अपीदानीं भवेद् अस्य क्षेमम् अस्मिन् समागमे ॥
कच्चिन् न सागरं तीर्त्वा सात्यकिः सत्यविक्रमः ॥
गोष्पदं प्राप्य सीदेत महौजाः शिनिपुंगवः ॥
अपि कौरवमुख्येन कृतास्त्रेण महात्मना ॥
समेत्य भूरिश्रवसा स्वस्तिमान् सात्यकिर् भवेत् ॥

pariśrāntā hayāś cāsya hayayantā ca mādhava ||
na ca bhūriśravāḥ śrāntaḥ sasahāyaś ca keśava ||
apīdānīṃ bhaved asya kṣemam asmin samāgame ||
kaccin na sāgaraṃ tīrtvā sātyakiḥ satyavikramaḥ ||
goṣpadaṃ prāpya sīdeta mahaujāḥ śinipuṃgavaḥ ||
api kauravamukhyena kṛtāstreṇa mahātmanā ||
sametya bhūriśravasā svastimān sātyakir bhavet ||

ससहायः च केशवsasahāyaḥ ca keśavaand with helpers, Keshava; and with helpers, o Keshava
अपि इदानीम् भवेत् अस्यapi idānīm bhavet asyawill there now be [for] him; will there now be for him
क्षेमम् अस्मिन् समागमेkṣemam asmin samāgamesafety in this encounter; safety in this encounter

अनुवाद

"Exhausted are his horses and his charioteer, o Madhava; whereas Bhurishravas is not weary, and has helpers, Keshava. Will there now be safety for him in this encounter? Having crossed the ocean [of the army], will not Satyaki, of true valor, [perish] before the foremost of the Kauravas, skilled in weapons and great of soul? Having met with Bhurishravas, will Satyaki remain unharmed?"
