译文

"Kanva performed the sacrifice for him with abundant gifts, as Daksha once did; that glorious king performed the horse sacrifice called Govitata, at which Bharata gave Kanva a thousand padmas of gold. From Bharata comes the fame 'Bharati,' from whom descends this line of Bharata; and those after and those before are renowned as Bharatas. In the line of Bharata there were many god-like, mighty, brahmin-like foremost kings; I shall recount them, O Bharata, in order of seniority -- the blessed, god-like, devoted to truth and uprightness."
