अश्वेषु भूमाव् अपि च रणशिक्षाम् अशिक्षयत् ॥
गदायुद्धे ऽसिचर्यायां तोमरप्रासशक्तिषु ॥
द्रोणः संकीर्णयुद्धेषु शिक्षयाम् आस पाण्डवम् ॥
तस्य तत् कौशलं दृष्ट्वा धनुर्वेदजिघृक्षवः ॥
राजानो राजपुत्राश् च समाजग्मुः सहस्रशः ॥

译文

Vaishampayana said: "Then Drona trained Arjuna further on chariots, elephants, horses, and on foot in the art of war; in combat with the mace, in swordsmanship, in fighting with dart, javelin, and lance, and in mixed forms of combat Drona trained the Pandava. Seeing his skill, kings and princes wishing to master the science of archery flocked to him by the thousands."
