译文

Ekalavya said: "Know me, O heroes, as the son of the lord of the Nishadas, Hiranyadhanus, and a disciple of Drona, who has labored in the science of archery." Vaishampayana said: "Having learned the truth of it, the Pandavas returned and told Drona all that wondrous matter just as it had happened. But Arjuna, son of Kunti, O king, remembering Ekalavya, met Drona in private and, out of affection, said to him: 'Was it not to me alone that you, embracing me, lovingly spoke this word: "There shall be no disciple of mine above you"? Then how is it that there is one surpassing me, and mightiest in the world -- another disciple of yours, the son of the lord of the Nishadas?'"
