"Those two best of men, before the eyes of the kings, O lord of men, took Krishna and departed, shining like the moon and the sun, to a potter's workshop outside the city; there sat a woman, like the flame of fire -- their mother, as I judge -- with three other hero-men just as fire-like."

Here the radiance of the five brothers and their mother betrays their nature. It is significant that all of them are ‘fire-like’: neither rags nor a potter's shed could conceal their brilliance. The light of the great shines through any poverty. Thus the scripture shows how the very bearing of the Pandavas testifies to who they are; and Dhrishtadyumna, from their radiance, senses something exalted in them.
