फलानि माल्यानि सुसंस्कृतानि; चर्माणि वर्माणि तथासनानि ॥
गाश् चैव राजन्न् अथ चैव रज्जूर्; द्रव्याणि चान्यानि कृषीनिमित्तम् ॥
अन्येषु शिल्पेषु च यान्य् अपि स्युः; सर्वाणि कॢप्तान्य् अखिलेन तत्र ॥
क्रीडानिमित्तानि च यानि तानि; सर्वाणि तत्रोपजहार राजा ॥

जिज्ञासया एव अथ कुरूत्तमानां द्रव्याणि अनेकानि उपसंजहारjijñāsayā eva atha kurūttamānāṃ dravyāṇi anekāni upasaṃjahāraDrupada then, solely to test the best of the Kurus, gathered many things:
फलानि माल्यानि सुसंस्कृतानि चर्माणि वर्माणि तथा आसनानिphalāni mālyāni susaṃskṛtāni carmāṇi varmāṇi tathā āsanānifruits, garlands, skillfully arranged, hides, armor, and also seats,
गाः च एव राजन् अथ च एव रज्जूः द्रव्याणि च अन्यानि कृषीनिमित्तम्gāḥ ca eva rājan atha ca eva rajjūḥ dravyāṇi ca anyāni kṛṣīnimittamand cows, O king, and ropes, and other things for tilling,

"Having heard the words of the purohita, those spoken by the King of Dharma Yudhishthira, Drupada then, solely to test the best of the Kurus, gathered many things: fruits, skillfully arranged garlands, hides, armor and seats, and cows, O king, and ropes, and other implements for tilling, and whatever there is among other crafts -- all prepared there in full -- and whatever things there are for amusement, all of them the king displayed there."
