"Seeing those men -- whose gait was like lions, whose eyes were like mighty bulls, in hides worn as upper garments, with broad shoulders, with arms long as the body of the king of serpents, heroes among men -- the king and all his counselors, and the king's sons and friends, and all the servants entirely, O king, were filled there with the greatest joy."

Here the very bearing of heroes proclaims their greatness. It is telling that the gait, the eyes, and the frame betray royal men even under rags: dignity cannot be hidden beneath hides. Inward nobility shows through outward form, and the gaze of those who love them rejoices, discerning the truth. So the scripture shows how the Pandavas' very appearance testifies to them, and Drupada's court exults, not yet knowing their names.
