सर्वाण्य् एवानुपूर्व्येण जगामामितविक्रमः ॥
समुद्रे पश्चिमे यानि तीर्थान्य् आयतनानि च ॥
तानि सर्वाणि गत्वा स प्रभासम् उपजग्मिवान् ॥

Vaishampayana said: "In the western lands he visited all the holy tirthas and shrines in order, the one of immeasurable valor; whatever tirthas and shrines there are on the western sea, having visited all of them, he came to Prabhasa."

Here the pilgrim completes his circuit of holy places all the way to the west. Arjuna's diligence stands out: he visits the tirthas "all in order," omitting none -- one zealous for the good does not leave a task half done. In this lies the completeness of his pilgrim's labor. So the verse shows the journey brought to fullness; and the path leads him to Prabhasa -- to meet the Lord.
