उपगीयमानो गन्धर्वैः स्त्रीसहस्रसहायवान् ॥

Here even the elder Yadavas give themselves to the festival's merriment. It is significant that Balarama and Ugrasena are among the rejoicing: in an auspicious time, even the lords share in the common joy. Joy is permitted and fitting in its proper hour. Thus scripture shows the fullness of the celebration; and amid this multitude, Krishna and Arjuna will stand apart.
