सूर्यः भूत्वा रश्मिभिः जातवेदः भूमेः अम्भः भूमिजातान् रसान् चsūryaḥ bhūtvā raśmibhiḥ jātavedaḥ bhūmeḥ ambhaḥ bhūmijātān rasān cabecoming the sun, with your rays, O Jatavedas, [you draw up] the water of the earth and all the saps born of the earth;
विश्वान् आदाय पुनः उत्सर्गकाले सृष्ट्वा वृष्ट्या भावयसि इह शुक्रviśvān ādāya punaḥ utsargakāle sṛṣṭvā vṛṣṭyā bhāvayasi iha śukrahaving taken all, again, at the time of release, having made it into rain, you nourish them here, O Shukra;

Here Agni is perceived as the mover of nature's cycle.
