Here the builder does not set to work empty-handed, but goes to seek worthy material. It is telling that for the abode of the righteous king Maya seeks not earthly things but treasures from a sacred place: what befits a great undertaking is gathered from afar and with care. Thus scripture shows the beginning of the labor; and Maya reveals where his path leads.
