उक्तं त्वया बुद्धिमता यन् नान्यो वक्तुम् अर्हति ॥
संशयानां हि निर्मोक्ता त्वन् नान्यो विद्यते भुवि ॥
गृहे गृहे हि राजानः स्वस्य स्वस्य प्रियंकराः ॥
न च साम्राज्यम् आप्तास् ते सम्राट्शब्दो हि कृत्स्नभाक् ॥

译文

Yudhishthira said: "Spoken by you, the wise one, is [that] which another is not capable of saying; for there is no resolver of doubts on earth other than you. In every house there are kings, each a benefactor of his own, but they have not attained sovereignty; for the word 'sovereign' [befits] only one who is all-encompassing."

注释

Here Yudhishthira again honors Krishna as the sole resolver of doubts. It is significant that even the most righteous king does not consider himself a sovereign: true greatness lies not in ruling one's own house but in all-encompassing service. Thus the scripture reveals the distinction between a local benefactor and a universal lord; and further the king humbles his own claim.
