यथावत् प्रतिपद्येथाः काले काले युधिष्ठिर ॥
आपृष्टो ऽसीह कौन्तेय स्वस्ति प्राप्नुहि भारत ॥
कृतार्थं स्वस्तिमन्तं त्वां द्रक्ष्यामः पुनरागतम् ॥

译文
[Vidura:] 'In calamities, in the difficulties of dharma and artha, and again in all undertakings, act as is proper, time after time, O Yudhishthira. You have taken your leave here, O Kaunteya; may you attain well-being, O Bharata; we shall see you returned, your purpose accomplished and prospering.'

Vidura’s parting counsel closes with the precept of prudence — ‘act as is proper in its season’: wisdom lies not in abstract knowledge but in the ability to apply dharma to each circumstance and moment. And he crowns his words with a firm foresight of return — ‘we shall see you returned, your purpose accomplished’: one faithful to dharma sends off not a doomed man but a victor passing through trial. The verse teaches that virtue must be active and fitted to the moment, not merely contemplative; that a true blessing instills hope, discerning beyond misfortune a coming triumph; and that the parting of the righteous from the righteous is not a lament over loss but an entrusting into the hands of dharma, which will lead out into the light.
