युधिष्ठिर उवाच
कर्माण्य् उक्तानि युष्माभिर् यानि तानि करिष्यथ ॥
मम चापि यथाबुद्धि रुचितानि विनिश्चयात् ॥
पुरोहितो ऽयम् अस्माकम् अग्निहोत्राणि रक्षतु ॥
सूदपौरोगवैः सार्धं द्रुपदस्य निवेशने ॥
इन्द्रसेनमुखाश् चेमे रथान् आदाय केवलान् ॥
यान्तु द्वारवतीं शीघ्रम् इति मे वर्तते मतिः ॥
इमाश् च नार्यो द्रौपद्याः सर्वशः परिचारिकाः ॥
पाञ्चालान् एव गच्छन्तु सूदपौरोगवैः सह ॥
सर्वैर् अपि च वक्तव्यं न प्रज्ञायन्त पाण्डवाः ॥
गता ह्य् अस्मान् अपाकीर्य सर्वे द्वैतवनाद् इति ॥
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca

mama cāpi yathābuddhi rucitāni viniścayāt ||
purohito 'yam asmākam agnihotrāṇi rakṣatu ||
sūdapaurogavaiḥ sārdhaṃ drupadasya niveśane ||
indrasenamukhāś ceme rathān ādāya kevalān ||
yāntu dvāravatīṃ śīghram iti me vartate matiḥ ||
imāś ca nāryo draupadyāḥ sarvaśaḥ paricārikāḥ ||
pāñcālān eva gacchantu sūdapaurogavaiḥ saha ||
sarvair api ca vaktavyaṃ na prajñāyanta pāṇḍavāḥ ||
gatā hy asmān apākīrya sarve dvaitavanād iti ||
Yudhishthira said: "You have named your tasks, and it is these that you shall perform. And to my mind, too, they are certainly to my liking. Let our priest keep the agnihotra fires with the cooks and attendants in the house of Drupada. Let Indrasena and the rest take the empty chariots and set out quickly for Dvaraka. And all these women, Draupadi's maidservants, let them go together with the cooks and attendants to Panchala. And to everyone it must be said: 'The Pandavas are nowhere to be found; they have abandoned us and all gone away from Dvaitavana.'"
