译文

Meanwhile, the sons of Pritha, at ease and single-minded, will attend to their military preparations and the gathering of resources. And while your own people are divided and you linger among them, they will certainly not be able to properly prepare for war -- of this there is no doubt. This is the chief purpose to be found here. Through your meeting, Dhritarashtra may act on the righteous word you speak. Being yourself joined with dharma, act righteously toward them: among the compassionate, recount the many hardships the Pandavas have endured; among the elders, speak of the family dharma observed by their forefathers -- this will surely divide their hearts, of this I have no doubt. And you need not fear any danger from them, for you are a brahmin learned in the Vedas, engaged in the office of envoy, and above all, an elder.
