译文

Vaishampayana continued: 'Thus addressing Krishna, Dhananjaya, son of Kunti, chose Keshava, who was not to fight on the battlefield — even that same Narayana, the slayer of foes, the uncreated one, born among men of his own will, the greatest of all kshatriyas and beyond all gods and danavas. And Duryodhana took for himself that whole army (composed of the Narayanas). And, O descendant of Bharata, having obtained these many thousands of troops, he rejoiced greatly, though he knew that Krishna was not on his side. And, having secured this army of terrible prowess, Duryodhana went to the son of Rohini, who possessed enormous strength, and explained to him the purpose of his visit. The descendant of Shura replied to the son of Dhritarashtra with these words: 'You must remember, O tiger among men, all that I said at the wedding ceremony that Virata celebrated.'
